- Lock the front entrance / main doors of the apartment.
- Always lock the door on your way out, even if you are only planning on being away for a short time.
- Never leave the keys on the door while inside.
- Avoid stating your location on Facebook or any other social networks.
- Should your house keys get lost or stolen, you must immediately change the locks.
- Avoid leaving large amounts of money or valuable items at home and never disclose information on any possessions you keep at home.
- Never leave the balcony doors and windows open or unlocked.
- The house or apartment should not appear to be ‘completely shut’ when you are absent.
